OUR STORY
In 2004, Matt and Jerry Megge launched Motor City Entertainment with a simple idea: to share their love for darts. They began with two dart boards at The Rusty Nail in Clinton Township, MI, quickly fostering a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels.
By 2016, Brian Henry joined the team, bringing innovative strategies that expanded Motor City Darts into Waterford and other key locations in Metro Detroit. His contributions helped develop a vibrant darting culture, attracting a diverse range of players.
The sudden loss of Jerry in 2018 was a significant blow, but it strengthened Matt and Brian's resolve to keep his vision alive. They dedicated themselves to growing the company while honoring his memory.
In February 2021, Alan Rude became a valuable addition to the Motor City Dart family, utilizing his extensive background to elevate the sport in Michigan. Today, Motor City Darts operates 78 dart boards across 19 locations, making it a staple in the local darting community.
MCE manages over 70 active dart leagues, including Motor City and PPD remote online leagues. We are committed to providing engaging events throughout the year, including tournaments, luck of draws, and charity fundraisers that support various local initiatives.
Our youth dart league, hosted during the winter months, is a source of pride for us. It not only nurtures young talent but also fosters camaraderie and a sense of belonging among participants.
Beyond darts, MCE enhances the social experience with services such as ATM and jukebox offerings, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all our patrons.

MCE began with Matt and an idea he shared with his brother Jerry. Matt is the backbone of the organization. He is our muscle and will find a way to make things happen. He coordinates and plays in the dart leagues at The Nail. He also assists in maintenance, installations and collections of our equipment.

Brian Henry
Chief Executive Officer
Brian has been playing darts for almost 25 years. His passion and drive to promote this sport is unwavering. Brian introduced PPD dart leagues to Michigan darters in 2010 and never looked back. Thanks to his foresight, MCE is the biggest PPD vendor in Michigan. Brian works closely with our current and potential venues to ensure MCE meets their needs and coordinates installation of dart boards, jukeboxes and ATMs. He also administers the scheduling, weekly stats and end of season payouts for all dart leagues. Brian is pictured with his daughter Elicia participating in a PPD remote dart tournament while on family vacation in South Dakota.

Teresa Henry, CAPM
Executive Project Coordinator
Teresa "Tree" handles all the communications for MCE. She handles the back end office duties such as facebook posts, creating flyers, updating spreadsheets, fundraising, and collecting torunament entries. Teresa even designed and added all the content on our website.
She also runs various luck of the draw tournaments throughout the year. Tree's greatest accomplishment is the ability to keep our annual Regional Dart Tournament moving as smoothly as possible. She takes pride in making sure that the brackets are running on time with minimal interruptions.
